UK Sport commission Neon for report on Elite and Super Elite athlete development.

Neon have been asked to help UK Sport bring to life a comprehensive and in-depth study of ‘Great British Medallists’. The study is set to provide a unique insight into the developmental biographies of Elite and Super Elite GB athletes, to be distributed the wider UK Sport and elite sports community.

This ambitious, multi-disciplinary project used cutting edge research methods that set a new standard for talent development research, and the findings of the study are likely to have far-reaching consequences for the top practitioners working to develop Elite and Super Elite athletes. The study compares information about athlete’s training and competition experiences with psychosocial variables such as motivation, drive and personality through sophisticated and novel data analysis.

This exciting commission follows on from the success of work for UK Sport for Lizzy Yarnold and the comprehensive (but confidential so we can’t show it unfortunately) elite Strength & Conditioning resource website also produced by Neon.
