Christmas comes early – Corney & Barrow’s House Range by Neon.

Christmas has come early for Neon… Corney & Barrow’s House Range of wines, spirits and sparkling wines with labels designed by Neon, have been launched – and feature proudly in Corney & Barrow’s new Christmas print and digital campaign, in which this oh so Christmassy image features.

Following on from Neon’s branding project with Corney, & Barrow as well as their highly desirable Pétrus brochure, Neon were commissioned to review and completely redesign the branding and labelling of Corney & Barrow’s House Range. The goal was to create a unified range that was not only unmistakably Corney & Barrow, but also captured some of the provenance of the wines region/producer – as well as reflecting the ranges premium quality and price point, as the old existing House Range had become very fragmented, tired and dated.

One of the big design and production challenges for the Corney & Barrow House Range project was that each wine was supplied, bottled and labelled by different producers all over the world, using various bottle and label types and sizes. We had to retain the current range of bottle structures and in places some of the label sizes due to localised limitations in label printing and application. And yet the goal was to have a consistent and cohesive range.

With exquisite line illustrations that helped to deliver distinctly premium cues and provenance to each product and label, in combination with beautiful label papers and premium print and production values (from fantastic foils to raised varnishing), it all came together to make a varied yet cohesive premium range suitable for any table – and also an unmistakably Corney & Barrow range.

In total Neon designed labelling for x2 white wines, x8 red wines, x1 desert wine, x2 Ports, x1 Whiskey, x1 Sparkling wine, x1 Sloe Gin.

All will be revealed in more detail soon with a full case study, showcasing the entire range of beautifully illustrated labels for each product, along with the production detailing from foils to varnishing that has gone into the project.
