New brand identity for the London barristers Field Court Chambers.

Neon has created the new brand identity for London barristers Field Court Chambers – which all came about through a little bit of local observation….

Field Court Chambers is part of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, one of the four Inns of Court (professional associations for barristers and judges).

We were brought into Field Court Chambers by a kind fan of our long and creatively productive relationship with Nabarro LLP (now CMS Law).

Field Court Chambers asked us for an identity that would:

1) Better reflect their more contemporary outlook and practices, as well as the current and next generation of barristers at Field Court Chambers.

2) More strongly convey their breadth of talent and practice area expertise.

3) Enable Field Court Chambers to stand out from the 20 or so other barristers chambers that surround Gray’s Inn Garden, breaking free from traditional branding in this area, typically featuring olde worlde heraldic elements etc.

Our solution positions Field Court Chambers as the barristers for all seasons – with the identity taking its inspiration from the Inn’s 5.8 acre gardens known as ‘the Walks’, with its famous central gravel path lined by an avenue of American Red Oaks, featuring six leaves representing the passing seasons.

Used at different scales, and in varying multiples, the leaves also form part of the brand’s new visual language (as well as informing its new colour palette), for comms materials and refreshed website.

Naturally, it’s great have a happy client / continued fan (and new fans) of our approach to branding and brand identity.

If you have an upcoming branding/advertising project you’d like to talk about, then for sure contact Neon we’d be absolutely delighted to hear from you.
