A bit of fun / I love simple ideas…

Hmmm, history seems to repeat itself for me in regard to being a boxed toy…

Love this simple but hilariously effective creative use of a little bit of cardboard, promo-ing the new Barbie film.

…I also loved being immortalised as another action figure as part of a leaving gift (see slide 2), way back when I left the creative powerhouse / play pen that was The Partners – and then stumbled, still in shorts and thinking “I’ll just freelance for a while”, into my next agency job as senior creative director and on the board at Identica with Michael Peters.

And yup, went to first board meeting in shorts… oops… a great position where I worked with so many amazing people.

…then jumped off the log and started my own thing with Neon 15 years ago, doing big creative things for big brands, solving serious branding briefs in all manner of sectors – while keeping it to a small but talented band and not talking ourselves too seriously (and of course still wearing shorts).

Anyway, a little bit of mirth for a Wednesday…
