Neon developed the new 60th Anniversary signature, using the Thames & Hudson dolphin colophon, which was to appear on every branded item for that year. The title of Neon’s initial book of marketing ideas for the year, ‘Sixty years of making a splash’ was adopted by Thames & Hudson as the 60th Anniversary year strapline. Neon’s involvement in the Thames & Hudson 60 years of making a splash project included a wide spectrum of other projects, from a range of limited edition reprints, to literature and in-store branding. 10 years of the London Eye

The Royal Mail celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first flight of Concorde pack (in partnership with the Royal Mint) researched and written by Neon, was designed to capture and bring to life some of the more notable facts and events of the design and development of this extraordinary aircraft. The envelope features an image of the first UK fight of Concorde, with the inner showcasing the build of one of the very first aircraft. This was supported by a snapshot photographic timeline of Concorde's development and operational life and highlights of it incredible abilities and unique design features. The Royal Mail London 1908 Olympic Games commemorative sheet was produced to mark the centenary of the IV Olympiad held at the White City Stadium in London. It was researched and designed by Neon to capture and bring to life some of the more notable facts and events of the London 1908 Olympic Games. It includes insights into sequence of events that lead to London hosting the 1908 Olympic Games and the construction of the White City Stadium, the birth of the modern marathon distance, introduces some of the notable figures and athletes of the time including Baron Pierre de Coubertin and a comprehensive medal table from the Games. Countdown to the 2012 London Olympics series

A traditional Christmas lunch table gift of the years Royal Mail Christmas stamps set for the Royal Mails Stamp Advisory Committee – formed of some of the most notable names within the design industry of the past 30 years. Neon's idea was to present the years Christmas stamps within a 2D printed cracker, tied together with a festive red ribbon – which then pulled apart to reveal the stamps placed within plate sunk debossed frames. Neon has been working with Royal Mail from its very first day. Glorious United Kingdom Smiler sheet

Thames & Hudson on-going relationship with Neon lead to the commissioning of a Thames & Hudson share certificate and supporting explanatory literature. The brief was to capture all the nessecary legal information including their brand mark and in true Thames & Hudson style also 'be a thing of beauty and proud to own'. The new double sided share certificate combined the T&H dolphins with a rosette style 'splash' rendered in a classic bank note engraving style. At 420mm long and 210mm deep and printed on a pure white luxurious 300gsm paper the new share certificate had a premium feel, making a keep sake in its own right beyond that of number of shares the certificate would come to represent. The share certificate was accompanied by a simple A5 explanation guide, printed on the same luxurious stock, which used the wave line style from the share certificate at the bottom of each page, along which the dolphins playfully leapt from left to right across the page as you progressed through the booklet. – Idea, art direction and design by Neon Design & Branding Consultancy www.neon-creative.com
